I think that the patent drawings for the Kamaka pineapple were available on Ebay.

I saw those, but it just looked like the picture.

I was interested in everything.  Dimensions, bracing, etc..

Longboat:
I have been told that the plans for the concert ukulele sold by LMI include a drawing for a pineapple on the same sheet. I assume that it would be a concert size which would use the same neck and fretboard.

Please post if you have any luck.

avast longboat!

if'n ya is seekin pineapple plans here's an idea....use the dimensions of whatever size pineapple you are planning....take these from a standard, concert, tenor of baritone uke that you already have plans for:

1. establish a scale length
2. draw your own pineapple to the body dimensions of the selected uke size.
3. transpose the bracings from your selected plan to your new pineapple shape and have at it.

my own pineapple and pineapple cutaways were all done in this above described procedure...you are really just modifying a working brace system to your new parameters and design all based on selected scale length and bracing system. my pineapples are all kasha/schneider braced as well...and yes...slightly modified.....anyhow sticking with a set uke dimension will make your new design always fit the intended case..which is very cool...ok    hope this helps....laters all , ukeman

The original plan.

Here are the jig modifications that I used for my tenor pineapple.

Wow Bob, that modification to the original tenor jig is a great idea!  You've got the idea for the body shape.  Length, and upper/lower bout widths are the same while the waist gets straightened to smooth out the shape.  The total side length will turn out to be just a tad less than the original shape.

New plans are ready and will be available later this month.   :)

Asa:
The hole on the center is to allow steam from a kettle to enter the bender. The heating blanket would work better.

Outstanding!  I'll order the plans this weekend.  While tenors seem to be the most popular size right now, I really love the concert size.

I think I've got just the wood to use with these new plans, too!

My pineapple plans (along with various other building supplies!) arrived last week, and they look great!  I'm looking forward to using them.  I've always been intrigued by the pineapple shape, so it will be fun to put one together.

Thanks, Asa and Mike!
