Anyone making their own bindings?

Any hints on how to make your own bindings?

The recent posts give a good description of making rope bindings from 'simple' bindings, ... but what is a good technique for making simple bindings?

     Thanks,    Matt

Hi Matt,
When making binding, we will first thickness our work piece and then rip it on the table saw.  A splitter would really help.  The long thin strips tend to move around slightly and bump into the back of the blade when you rip without one...(like we do  Embarrassed )

In my dreams I would have a toy like this:

but as fun as it looks, ...$260.00!!?...  I'll push the wood by hand thanks.
