???

Hello Everyone,

I'm Making my second Uke!  This one will be all Koa and I'm wondering what would be the best material for making the tone bars; Koa, Mahogany or Spruce?  Would using one rather than another make a difference with a Koa soundboard?

Mahalo!

Hi Murray,
We recommend using Spruce for the tone bars on your koa uke.  You could use mahogany, but the spruce is lighter and a slightly more responsive tone wood.
