Multistring concert ukes?
Feb 16th, 2011 at 6:07pm
I've caught the urge to build a 6- or 8-string uke, but only (so far) have jigs for concert-sized instruments, and I prefer that size in general.  I only see references to tenor 8's, though.  Does anybody have experience with 6- or 8-string concerts?

It's an odd size, but you can make a 6 or 8 string concert.  The problem is that everything is getting a little too small and crowded at that point, which can make it more difficult to play.

You will also have to put together your own string sets.  I am not aware of anyone who packages a 6 string concert set.  Anybody know of one?
